Snopride Bengals Our Guarantee Snopride/Silverpride Bengals Shipping Info

I generally prefer to place my kittens with families that are within driving distance as it obviously saves the kitten the stress of shipping and extra expense added to the total price of the kitten. This however is not always feasible & I am willing to ship the kitten if necessary. At this time I choose not to ship internationally as I don't have easy access to a large airport.

Shipping a kitten is very safe & possible with some good preparation and precautions.

First of all I want the kitten to be a minimum of 13 weeks old. It will have had its vaccinations and has been observed past that time to make sure they didn't have any untoward reactions.

All airlines require vet health certificates with statements of temperature tolerance, this is paid for by the Purchaser. Rabies vaccination may be required, it is a state requirement, this will be given by my vet during the health exam 10 days prior to shipping. A new airline approved carrier will also be needed for shipping.

I live 100 miles from the nearest airport, Eugene, Ore, & that is only serviced by Alaska, Sky West & Delta airlines. This does sometimes influence if the kitten can be shipped as the destination must be served by these airlines. If these airlines don't serve my needs I am able to have arrange transportation to the airport in Portland, Ore which offers a much better selection of shipping options

I try to schedule flights with the least connections as this keeps the shipping times down and makes for less opportunity to miss connections etc. I have had very good luck with the airlines and kittens have always arrived safely but it is always a concern when I leave them for their flights. I provide the purchaser with all the flight times, appropriate numbers & ask that they call me as soon as they arrive so that I am sure they are safe.

In reality the kittens probably tolerate the trips better than I do as I am the one that does the worrying.

I fill the carrier with shredded newspaper and their blanket & a safe toy. We also put a bag of food with the carrier should they require feeding on a long trip . We put extra secure ties on the doors to prevent any accidental openings . All these extra measures provide a quick & safe trip for our special parcel of joy.
